The Foundation NewGeneration reaffirms its commitment to defending human rights, democracy, and the rule of law worldwide. In this regard, we wish to highlight the following:

• We recognize the legitimate right of Venezuelans to strive for a change in the political system in their country.

• We do not recognize any electoral process in Venezuela that does not meet fundamental democratic guarantees, such as the presence of independent international observation, the impartiality of the National Electoral Council, freedom of political proselytism, and the freedom of political parties to choose their candidates. Additionally, it is essential to ensure the right of Venezuelans abroad to vote.

• We call for the unconditional release of all political prisoners in Venezuela, whose detention constitutes a violation of their fundamental human rights.

• We do not recognize the legitimacy of the Nicolas Maduro regime, whose administration has been characterized by repression, corruption, and systematic violations of human rights.
