About Us

The Foundation NewGeneration collaborates with various local and international organizations, as well as government institutions and social actors, to implement projects and programs that benefit communities in vulnerable situations. These projects may include training initiatives, economic development, access to basic services and promotion of citizen participation.

Our History.

The Foundation NewGeneration born in May 2019 as a need for different social groups from Latin America residing in the Netherlands with the aim of working towards democracy in the region. Thus also exposing the reality of nations such as Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua in international forums and before European governments. At this time our organization is not registered, the process began in early 2020, however, due to the coronavirus, this process is in the hands of a notary public for the revision of the statutes.

Our Platform and our team have the ability to demonstrate the ability to carry out their objectives, many of them have been in development for some time. We have the prestige and recognition of the Dutch and European authorities for the implementation of initiatives and dialogue. In addition, our entire team has worked on the ground, which provides skills of understanding of the problems. We maintain alliances with organizations that operate in the region.

The Dutch Government establishes transit visa for Cubans

Immigration authorities have established a transit visa for Cuban citizens, after more than 300 Cubans requested asylum in Amsterdam while en route from Havana to Moscow.

May 2018Protest

Demonstration in The Hague

Nearly 100 Cubans, members of the Cuban LGBT community and supporters, meet with members of the Dutch Parliament in front of the Government building in The Hague to request that the IND carefully analyze the cases of Cuban asylum seekers.

Organization of the Cuban community

Cuban asylum seekers decide to organize themselves and found the magazine "NewGeneration" as a way of raising awareness about the human rights situation in Cuba.
